These phrases and many more have been used to describe our home and business.  

Four years ago we had come across an operating horse farm that was in desperate need of attention and going downhill quickly. Although we knew little about horses we were immediately attracted to the idea of being surrounded by horses.

Unfortunately consensus could not be found on that piece if property so we began looking for another as the bug had bitten!

The perfect place appeared almost instantly only three miles from the first property and we were the proud owners of ten acres of potential horse ranching land close to great schools, in a fast growing area to supply us with business, and great opportunity for increased land value.



On the other hand, we had to build the farm, find horses and build a customer base!



Fast forward to today. We have a successful horse ranching operation with a lesson program containing about 65 students, ongoing summer camp program, rental apartment, conference room, a well known and liked boarding facility with a waiting list, and an enviable reputation.



And we are just getting started.

It wasn’t easy to get here.  We had to clear most of the property, build the 12 stall barn (36X84 feet), add 4 more stalls as business boomed,  build and rent an apartment, conference room, shavings storage, tack room, and wash rack.  The riding ring and round pen had to be leveled, fenced and graveled.  There were 4 paddocks to be fenced, and all the pasture to be seeded, irrigated and fenced. Did I mention the two acre stocked lake or the year round creek?



Then of course the marketing was an important part. Full marketing for two years brought us customers. Great treatment of these customers brought us more. Actually more business than we could handle.



It is a joy to invest all you have into a dream and see it come alive and real.

 We are looking for someone who has that same dream – but may not want to invest the same amount of work!

You see, our dreams have changed! We now are dreaming of a forty foot catamaran ocean sailboat where our family travels to places only reachable by boat. Tropical paradises, pure white sand beaches, and balmy breezes make up our next dream.



We still love our farm, and the choice to let someone else take over where we are is a very painful one, but dreams are for following!
